That’s how he got started

Peter Ajello lost 200 pounds in 16 months. Back in 2008 Peter weighed four hundred and five pounds, had uncontrolled diabetes, dangerously-high cholesterol, and suffered from debilitating gout attacks in his legs. He could barely make it up a flight of stairs or around his block and was wearing a 5XL shirt and a size 56 pant.

He started his fight alone by walking around the block every day and stopping his pizza and beer routine. At first, he struggled to make it just once around and every step ached with pain and guilt, but he soldiered on and, to his surprise, quickly lost fifty pounds. Peter was finally motivated and his close friends took notice. On August 1, 2008 Peter’s friends took him to dinner where they made him an offer he couldn’t refuse; they gave him two postdated checks for $5,000 and $10,000 if he could lose another hundred pounds by New Year’s Day. That’s how he got started.

After 84 days, Waters had completely transformed his physique

For 33-year-old Adam Waters, losing his gut proved to be very difficult. An English teacher living in Japan, he indulged in local foods and skipped workouts. When he finally decided to shed the weight, he needed some extra motivation. So he started photographing himself daily and posting the pics on his blog for the world to see.

After 84 days, Waters had completely transformed his physique. He edited together the pics, made sort of a virtual flipbook, and posted the video online. Since then, his success has spawned a series of online “missions,” where he continues to document his efforts to get as jacked and lean as possible.

Feel good, look good

Not exactly sure on the weight my freshman year.. probably 125 ish and now it’s around 112. This just kind of shows you don’t have to necessarily lose numbers to feel/look good. And I’m 4″10.. (I have heels on in both pictures so I look taller)

All my life I’ve been judged by my body

This progress pic is the key of my whole journey. When I saw my before picture in January of last year, I couldn’t believe how big I was. My boyfriend (now is ex-bf) took this pic, and I couldn’t believe that he could love a girl like me (sorry, it’s true, I never loved me before, self-confidence=0). And that’s when I decided to change, I started my weight loss plan, healthy meals, exercise… and it was hard as hell. In that time it’s when I joined this wonderful community in tumblr, and you can see: step by step I’m reaching my goals. I NEVER thought I could be under 150. I NEVER thought I would feel comfy in my body. I must say that it’s harder the way of self-love that the weight loss. All my life I’ve been judged by my body: not only by the others, but me everytime. And now I feel better, I feel happier. When my bf left me 5 months ago, trust me that I felt that was because my body: “how could a toned boy like him be with a chubby girl like me?”. That made me cry a lot. But that’s gone. That’s me, I’m starting to love me as I am.
